Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The standout favorite is undoubtedly the beer-battered haddock, consistently praised for its crispy exterior and tender fish. Many customers rave about the large portions, especially the combination of fish and fries—perfect for both shareable meals and satisfying solo dinners.

The macaroni salad garners attention too, with some wishing they had ordered it in a larger size to savor the creamy goodness at home. Customers appreciate the friendly service and clean environment, which makes the overall experience delightful. Plus, the casual atmosphere allows for easy, stress-free dining, reinforcing its status as a go-to seafood spot.

Most Disliked

Some diners express disappointment over the limited dining experience due to takeout only. While the focus on providing delicious seafood shines, patrons sometimes miss the option to sit down and enjoy their meals on-site.

A few reviews mention the absence of EBT payment options, which could be a barrier for some in the community looking to enjoy a good meal. While the service is generally quick, at peak times like Saturday evenings, expect longer waits due to the restaurant's popularity.

Great place for fried fish. It's take-out only. They have fried okra, catfish, tilapia, haddock, and another I can't recall. The macaroni salad is so good I wish I'd gotten a large bucket of it. Went back and had the beer battered haddock, BEST EVER!, it was so good I was in heaven again!

Went looking for a new place to get Fish Fry and found Thurston, so glad we did. The beer battered fried haddock was excellent. Large portions of both fish and fries. It's take out only - worth it.

Great, friendly, and clean place for fish. My family had their fish fry every week during Lent. We'll be back the rest of the year too!

The best seafood restaurant I have eaten from in quite some time! I actually was given a shrimp to taste down at Crosskeys another Thurston Road establishment and loved the flavor so much I had to go and get some. Long story short my mother wanted a shrimp dinner went to Hooked on Driving Park but, was told they closed down but will be under new ownership come back for the grand opening ( they just opened what happened?) so I’m like Thurston Road Seafood. Got there ordered with ease, drove from there to across town and my mom loved it! It was still crunchy and she said it tasted so fresh. You guys please go there and try it out. You won’t be sorry.
